Özlem Şendeniz, who loves to deal with information production processes, completed her formal education with a doctorate degree. Her doctoral thesis was published by İletişim Publishing under the title "Kimdir Bu Lazlar? Laz Kimliği ve Sanal Mekanda Lazca"" (2020). In addition to her articles published in various magazines and books, among the works she contributed to, “Aramızda Kalmasın Kır Kent ve Ötesinde Toplumsal Cinsiyet” (2020), which she edited, and “Sırtında Sepeti Bafra’dan Hopa’ya Doğu Karadeniz’de Kadınlık Halleri” (2018), which she edited together with Emek Yıldırım works. Şendeniz started working in various projects in the field of civil society after she was expelled from the university where she worked as a research assistant, and her academic interests include memory, space, gender, social movements and ecology. Among her informal interests and knowledge are photography, sewing, making wine and liquor at home, making bookmarks and New Year's cards from the flowers she collects when she walks. While trying to understand the geography of the Eastern Black Sea and the current situation of Laz, her path crossed with Gola. Nowadays, she is both the coordinator of the project "From the Center to the Local, from the Local to the Virtual", and also works on the strategy planning and project development of the association.
